1. You need to be sitting close to someone you can punch. You can punch them in the arm or the leg or pretty much anywhere you want. But remember you may be punched back so make sure you don't get too carried away. Apologies are nice but revenge is much more gratifying.
2. Keep watching for cars, trucks or even farm equipment. If you see the following and you are the first to see the rare coloured (aussie spelling) car then you yell out the kind of car you saw and punch the closest person to you. When you are playing this game with two brothers it is pretty easy to guess who is going to get hit.
3. Here are the call signs - a) any yellow car = "spotto" b) any green car = "snotto" c) any fast car or sporty car = "speedo" and d) any compact car or mini car = "punch buggy". We learned that the official version of the game "punch buggy" only uses volkswagon bugs but we like playing with any small car - results in far more punching going on.
On your next road trip with your cousins or brothers or sisters give it a go - loads of fun mate! Depending upon how hard the hits are the game can be very memorable.
