Like Australia - Oregon has had its fair share of
forest fires (bush fires). When temperatures get hot and the wind kicks up it is possible for fires to rip through the forest. Unlike the Aussie bush that comes back relatively quickly, a fire in the USA can get very hot very fast and the entire forest can be destroyed for more than 10 years. So the picture today shows us working with our cousins Alex and Zachary to make sure the fire is completely out before we went to bed. I think we are all now ready for the volunteer fire brigade.
